What is Spell to Write and Read? Spell to Write and Read (SWR) is a unique multi-sensory phonics program where students spell their way into writing and reading. A complete phonics program, SWR can be used with any student between grades K-12, English as a Second Language (ESL), or even with adults! It is a perfect introduction to the written world for beginning students. However, SWR is not just for beginning readers. It also helps students who are already reading excel in reading comprehension and speed as well as spelling and writing.
In this SWR Basic Course you will gain an overview of the program, its methodologies, and historical background. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn from the perspective of student and teacher as we discuss the process of learning phonograms, creating a spelling log, spelling dictation, and analyzing the spelling rules of English words.
Endorsed SWR Trainer: Heidi Thomas Heidi has assisted numerous mothers prepare to teach their own children reading and spelling the "write" way. In addition, Heidi has experience tutoring older children using SWR materials.

Materials and Registration Fees: Class tuition is $135. Scholarship rates of $68 are available for spouses, single parents, and families in full-time ministry.
